Thank god he had been in a good mood this morning...or else you're sure he would have left without you. Lateness was not tolerable to Midorima.
And your broken alarm clock was certainly offering you a staggering amount of lateness.
You were gasping for air by the time you made it to his place, the run had been exhausting.
“Hn, your endurance could use some work.” He mumbled, but nonetheless waited for you to catch your breath.
“Thanks for waiting, Shin-kun.” You smiled sheepishly, straightening out. “Shall we go?”
Midorima just nodded, “It'd be foolish to wait any longer, we’re already late as it is.”
Ducking your head, you felt guilt ebb at your heart as you fell into step beside your boyfriend. ‘He's just being blunt. That's how Shin is, right?’
You wrung your hands nervously, not knowing what to say. Sometimes it was hard to tell if Shin was actually angry with you or...well, whatever his normal mood was.
“Here.”
You looked up and found Midorima holding out a small item to you, no bigger that the palm of your hand. It was cube like and seemed to be made of a soft felt. Each side had a different printed pattern. Some donned heart shapes, others were pastel plaid, one side even had a clover.
“What's this?” You murmured, taking it from him.
“A terry cloth cube.” Shin coughed, “It's my lucky item. Yours is a chocolate rabbit.”
You quirked an amused brow. “Oh?” You smiled gently, “Should we stop somewhere? Or-.”
“I already bought one.” His blush grew, leaving you confused.
“Okay. So shouldn't we switch then?”
“N-no. I want you to carry mine today. And I'll carry yours.” He set his face in a hard line.
“If...if that’s what you want?”
“I do.”
And the rest of the walk was silent, but the whole ordeal was bugging you. Once you had parted ways with Midorima, you went into the bathroom and locked yourself in the stall for privacy.
“Now, let's see what the interweb has to say today…” you muttered as the Oha-Asa webpage loaded.
Clicking on the Cancer Icon, you scrolled and skimmed the surprisingly long article.
Today’s Lucky Fate Changer comes with a rare twist! All of today’s loyal followers need to pay close attention!
Today is a rare opportunity, provided by the stars. They offer a chance at a Horo-Switch! Switch your lucky-meter and statement with another by exchanging your lucky item for theirs!
A small part of you was frothing at the mouth. What? So now you were just a tool for his luckiness?! How far was Midorima willing to take this Oha-Asa novelty app?! Subconsciously, you gripped the Terry Cloth Cube in a furious death vice.
“Jeeze, I wonder what else this asshole hides from me?” You scowled.
Scrolling further down the page, you found yourself curious as to just how bad Midorima expected your day to go.
Cancer: Your luck is positively overwhelming! You could risk going without the lucky item today and still be okay!
Lucky Item: Terry Cloth Cube
You blinked. Wait...what? His luck was at maximum today? That didn't make any sense. You furrowed your brows and continued to scroll.
You doubted Midorima would be anything less that by the letter when it came to Oha-Asa. So, he had to know the terms of the Lucky Horo-Switch.
Then, you saw yours.
(Y/Z/S): Your luck? What luck? It's positively nowhere to be found. Seems like your meter has dropped to zero! We definitely wouldn't go without the Lucky Item today, if we were in your shoes! It would spell disaster.
Lucky Item: Chocolate Bunny
Low Meter Special: Stick close to a loved one to heighten your meter.
“Oh, Shintaro…” Your heart swelled, threatening to burst.
You held the cloth cube close to your chest. Midorima...he'd forgone his own luck...to make your day better…!
Washing your hands, you practically skipped to class. It was almost overwhelming, and the switch even seemed to be working. If you didn't know the answer the teacher seemed to forget you were there until you came across an answer you did know!
The guy behind you that always kicked your seat was strangely absent, your best friend finally remembered to bring back your favorite CD and favorite mechanical pencil from her house, and you'd even found an extra dollar at the bottom of your backpack!
When the bell finally rang, you decided to be rash and passionate -publicly for a change. Despite how far Midorima’s next class was from yours, you didn't feel tired when you finally got there.
“Ooh, Shin-!” You gasped.
Oh, he looked rough. His glasses and hair were askew, he looked so tired, and there was even a scorch mark on his jacket. Wait. Didn't he have chemistry first period.
You cringed and approached him, gently shaking his arm. Midorima shot up and his, clutching his arm.
“Not there.” He groaned, but jumped as he saw you and your gentle smile. “(N-Name)-chan? What're you-!”
Rolling your eyes, you pressed a gentle kiss to his temple. “You are the best boyfriend and woman could ask for Shintaro.” You told him softly, “Thank you for the Horo-Switch. I promise to make it up to you.”
“Y-You don't have...don't do that, idiot.” He grunted.
You just kissed his cheek again, “whatever you say.” You cooed, laughing as his cheeks turned red.
Surprisingly, no one seemed to notice Shin’s redness as no one said a word to the flustered Miracle.

Stupid Lovely Boyfriend [Midorima X Reader]
„Come one, smile!“ Your phone front camera was facing you and your boyfriend and two fingers were making the peace sign next to your cheek. „I said no and I am not in the mood for any selfies right now. Or ever.“ Midorima said with a rejecting hand movement. It was not the first time he was rejecting selfies with you, although you begged for it so much.
„You are not fun. I just want to take one picture with you in which you don’t look like a grumpy old man. Is that really too much to ask for?“ You said with a sad tone. Midorima just looked at you with his usual face expression while holding his lucky

First (Midorima Shintarou x Reader) [Part 3]
"Really?"
Once you opened your eyes, you felt a tuft of hair on your shoulder and arms wrapped tightly around your waist. Your cheeks suddenly turned red, and you didn't know what to do. Midorima, he...didn't do anything like this..
"A-ah, M-Midorima! What's this about?"
The green head didn't release his hold on you, and just kept hugging you. Your mind was swirling from what was happening, and from your slight fever. You didn't know what to do. After a while, Midorima released you and looked at your now-red face. "This isn't like him.."
"Are you okay, ______? Your face is red."
You laughed inwardly, but kept your cool. "Takao was right.

"What?" You asked.
"You're staring again, [Name]," your best friend replied.
"I am?"
"Yes."
You caught yourself staring at Shutoku's Shooting Guard, Midorima Shintarō. You've been having a crush on the guy for a while now.
"I guess I am," you smile turning your attention to the practice.
"So you finally admitted, huh?" She said.
"What do you mean?" You faced her again, raising an eyebrow.
"You like Midorima-kun, [Name], I know
